This subject refers to some NC interpolation algorithm improvement in introducing FPGA into NC interpolation, to better solve the problem that slow speed is the chief drawback of software interpolation and designing complexly and difficulties of adjusting and amending is the chief drawback of hardware Interpolation. FPGA has the features of chip, high reliability, shorter design cycles and reprogrammable performance.This subject with "Verilog HDL" (hardware description language) designs linear, circular interpolation models based on point-to-point comparison method, digital integration method and comparison integration method interpolation theory. Then the six interpolation model are integrated a model that makes use of strobe signal to Decided to call which interpolation model for interpolation. For verifying correctness of the interpolation model designing, this subject makes use of simulation software "ModelSim" to run the interpolation model simulation and has verified correctness of the interpolation model designing. "TrackSim" is designed by VC++6.0 to simulate interpolation track with track data from the interpolation model and the correctness of the interpolation model designing has been verified by this method again.In this paper, some aspects of some interpolation algorithm get effective improvement. For example, in dealing with the end discrimination of circular interpolation based on point-to-point comparison method, full circle interpolation is got improvement; In dealing with the end discrimination of circular interpolation based on digital integration method, coming up with the method of combination of two coordinate; In the design of circular interpolation module based on comparison integration method, amending interpolation error and so on.
