The Determination Of Corporate Safety Culture Dimensions And Verification In A Coal Mine

Issues of work safety have already been the important facters of influencing the development of our economy and the construction of harmonious society. The increasing number of close attentions have been paid to work safety. The government and enterprise took effective measures, such as increasing safety input, improving safety techniques, using advanced equipments, set up safety managerial system. Safety condition is much better now. But there are still many accidents. Safety culture is the final means of safety management, it could make man, machine, media, management in a good condition, it might be a good way to control accident and improve safety performance.Nowadays, safety culture has been the hotspot of safety science. There are many research achievements. But systemic system has not been formed, the definition of safety culture still not clear, and the dimensions of safety culture still in a mess. Through literature review, this paper obtains the definition of corporate safety culture, refines dimensions of corporate safety culture,and verified in a coal mine, in the last give some suggestions of construction of safety culture. The main work is summarized as follows.(1) The definition of corporate safety culture was put forward. Through reviewing 20 definitions of safety culture, this paper analyzes the similarities and differences of these definitions, and considers the formation and establishment process of safety culture in enterprise, obtains the definition of corporate safety culture.(2) The dimensions of corporate safety culture were refined, and the meaning of these dimensions were defined. Based on literature review of 68 safety articles, 529 dimensions were extracted, to merger, split and eliminate these dimensions, 24 dimensions were deposited. And then based on the definition of corporate safety culture this paper given, and consider the formation and establishment process of safety culture in enterprise, these dimensions were classified into three levels. The meaning of these dimensions were defined through considering the meaning which the author gave and the conditions of the enterprise in our country.(3) Confirmation tests were carried out. The validity and feasibility of these dimentions were verified in a coal mine.(4) The results of the confirmation test were discussed. According to the verification process, analyze the reflections of these dimensions, and give some advices of the construction of corporate safety culture.
