Development And Properties Of Paper Based Cotton Linter Film

Plastic sheeting has broad application in agriculture, in particular, agricultural plastic sheeting. Plastic sheeting recycling is difficult. It had generated the negative impact on environment for the expanding of the plastic sheeting usage and the growing of using years. Some plastic films accumulated in the farmland continuously so it destroyed the soil environment of crops. There are lots of researches about degradable agricultural film in the world.In this topic, the abandoned cotton linter in cotton spinning industry was purified and pulped, followed forming non-woven by papermaking and then the non-woven web was impregnated in liquid paraffin and it was stereotyped by surface sizing, thus obtained a degradable non-woven agricultural film. Force, tearing, the degradation rate, transmission, air, water vapor permeability other performance of the samples were tested, the performance of non-woven cotton linter agricultural film was analyzed.The results indicated that non-woven cotton linter agricultural film compared with the general PE presents better physical properties and degradability and after degradation, it becomes organic fertilizer.In this paper, an important analysis was made through a multi-factor analysis of the pulp cooking process with alkali, Hydrogen peroxide content for bleaching and the amount of cooking aids , it was explored to the process of cooking.
