Print quality evaluation is essential to the management of the flexographic printing industry. To combine subjective and objective quality evaluation to assess print quality is one of the important job for print management and technical staff to explore. There are a lot of variables affecting the printing quality, and the influence of different variables on printing quality is different .Even the same factor has different effects in different production condition,so it is quite essential to calculate the weight of different variables, analysis their distribution laws and build a model of printing quality evaluation. This paper applies the method of an improved analytic hierarchy method to evaluate the print quality rating, divides the variables into two -layers, quantify the subjective measure results by using three scales, and obtains the influence weight of printing variables through power iterative, Finally, the importance distributed rule of variables is obtained , and the result might instruct the enterprise to produce directly. Secondly, multi-layer mathematical model of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method combined with the improved analytic hierarchy process is applied to build a model of quality evaluation. Finally, this thesis has made thorough research to water-based flexographic ink viscosity , dot gain, the factors affecting ink viscosity, and the effect of related factors to dot gain, such as the viscosity of water-based ink and soon. In MATLAB, applying the secondary linear fitting method to draw the dot gain curve, and analysis the law of dot enlargement. This method makes it possible, for printing enterprises on the basis of their practical condition, to establish the database of printing characteristics, analyze key variables, control the dot gain larger effectively, and improve printing the quality. So, the result provides base theory for implementation datamation, standardization and normalization.
