The SAN plant had started up since 1997, owing to the deficient design, instability of pelleting system is continuous, the plant was unable to achieve the design load, and the system was always in the in-and-out condition. Because of product inhomogeneous appearance, users' reflection is not good. So price of products is 300RMB/ton lower than other products at home and abroad. And the SAN plant used pelleting system that was not the underwater strand-granulator. By the dry pelleting system , the cutting knife was easily wore down. At the same time the product grain was bonding and appeared inhomogeneous. The bonding of the grain needed clean in time, or the former part of the SAN plant will be effected, even shut down. Therefore, study on Alteration of Underwater Strand-Granulator for SAN Plant is of great significance.The research project is involved in the use of theoretical analysis and field research study . First of all, after searching a lot of information,analyzing and comparing various types of SAN underwater granulator, I developed SAN granulator devices for Daqing Petrochemical Plant in theory; Secondly, Daqing Petrochemical Plant realized and applyied PLC control and underwater granulation realized the automatic control of the production process .PLC improved the stability of the production process,and realized the sequence control, which is reliable and ensure the technology for the long-period secure operation. Finally, based on Daqing Petrochemical plant's SAN device used in the original non-underwater granulating system, I developed underwater granulating system ,which is taking hanshin company's granulation production line strengths and learning from German companies centrifugal drying equipment advantages. Daqing Petrochemical Plant added desalinating Pool, which is recycled granulator produced desalinating water .Adjust cutter gap to improve the quality of SAN particles and to reduce the volume of granulation powder, I produced a comprehensive optimization of SAN devices underwater granulating system, not only improve product quality but also reduce costs and increase cost effectiveness.Using the underwater strand-granulator, all the above flaws can be under control. The alteration of underwater strand-granulator for SAN plant will resolve the instable condition of the system, and reduce the frequency of in-and-out, and cut down the by-product powder. The resolved can avoid not only system fluctuating but also SAN products quality by oxidation. Effects of alteration guarantee products uniform color and make safety and yield good economic returns.
