Magnetic separation technology is a new water treatment technology. Magnetic separation has a number of successful applications as a physics processing technology in water treatment, and shows many advantages. The magnetic separation method utilizes magnetism of impurities particles in waste water for magnetic separation, as to the non-magnetic or weak magnetic particles, magnetic inoculation technology will enable them to have magnetism. Then with the role of the external magnetic field, the suspended solids in waste water can be separated and obtained clean water. Comparison with conventional methods ,such as settlement, filtering, magnetic separation has the ability of handle large amount, high efficiency, low energy consumption, simple and has compact equipment.Because of high cost of investment, large area, long response time of the traditional coagulation separation technology, we use new technology, design the disc magnetic separation response device which has mixed reaction system and slag separation system. Magnetic disk separator has small power consumption, energy conservation and use of a new type of Nd-Fe-B magnet to overcome a weak magnetic field and weaknesses magnetic gradient of permanent magnet successfully. At the same time, because of the magnetic pressure, moisture of residue has certain abatement.In the magnetic separation technology, the low-cost magnetic species comes from abandoned mill powder after the car bearing of Wafangdian Bearing Factory of Dalian City in Liaoning Province, magnetic species have following characteristics: using waste to treat waste, a rich source of raw materials; without complicated preparation technology; low-cost and be efficient and suitable for all types of industrial waste water; without the introduction of harmful heavy metals. Magnetic plays a role of strengthening of flocculation, raising separation effect. By the research of sewage of Dalian Jiaotong University, emulsion waste water of Wafangdian Bearing plant of Dalian city in Liaoning Province, according to laboratory analysis at the experimental conditions, the best reaction value for the sewage is shown as follows: PAC dosage is 80mg / L; PAM dosage is 5mg / L ,magnetic dosage is 200mg / L; reaction time is 8min.The best reaction value of emulsion waste water is : PAC dosage is 800mg / L; PAM dosage is 8mg / L; magnetic dosage is 300mg / L; reaction time is 10min. After the comparison of traditional coagulation process and technology of magnetic separation, COD and SS removal rate of magnetic separation process has a certain extent improved than the traditional coagulation process. The moisture content of sludge significantly reduce. Magnetization and coagulation process deal fast, only need small area, simple equipment, clean and easy to implement integration, automation, and other characteristics, especially suitable for sewage treatment plant construction in China's small cities, small towns, sewage treatment large and medium-sized city, so it has a broad application prospects in future.
