The Effects Of RMB Appreciation On The Textile Product Export

RMB appreciation is a hot topic which was paid much attention by international community. At present, there is much study about the impact of RMB appreciation on the economy of our country, such as the impaction to our import and export, economic structures, employment level, and the whole economy. But records about the impaction of the RMB appreciation to a particular industry are deficient. China is a big textile country on both producing and export, the importance of the textile export to our country's economy is apparent. However, there is a trend that the increasing rate speed becomes slowly while the absolute numbers of textile export increasing. To the phenomenon above, this thesis is aimed at analyzing the RMB appreciation that takes effect on the increasing speed of our country's textile export, so as to provide some useful explorations to the textile export development of our country.Why does the RMB exchange rate appreciate? Which factors determine the level of RMB exchange rate? This thesis firstly introduces the theoretical basis and realistic background of the RMB exchange rate appreciation, poses that the absolute trend of RMB exchange rate appreciation. And then, the thesis introduces the international environment of our country's textile export, Followed, linking up with the textile export characteristics of our country, such as, export quality, export structure, and export manners.Based on the textile export characteristics of our country, making use of the theories about exchange rate and international trade, the thesis studies how the RMB appreciation affects on our country's textile export. The conclusion is that the RMB appreciation has bad effect on our country's textile export.After theoretical analysis, this thesis empirically analyzes the impact of the RMB appreciation on our country's textile export. Co integration Test and Granger Test are used to test the relationship between RMB appreciation and our country's textile export. The empirical analysis is consistent with the theoretical analysis, that is, RMB appreciation is the reason why our country's textile export increasing speed descends.At last, in consideration of the impaction of the RMB appreciation on our country's textile export, this thesis provides some suggestions, wishing to avoid the adverse impact of the RMB appreciation to our country's textile export, to use this chance to advance the industry's promotion, and to enhance the international competitiveness of our country's textile export.
