Study On Human Feces Pollutants Degradation Characteristic Of Composting Reactor

Abstract/Summary:
The pollutants removed characteristic of ecological composting reactor with sawdust as a vector was mainly studied.Controlling the moisture content in the 50-60% and temperature in the range of 50-60℃,human feces was added quantitatively and qualitatively,the diversification of CODCr and BOD5 in the sequencing composting reactor was studied,and the organic composition degradation of total sugar,lipids, cellulose,hemicellulose in the feces.The characteristics of microbial biomass and bacteriological,the diversification of FAS,Bulk density,the total solid content,ash and so on.The experiment results as follows:(1) The highest degradation of CODCr and BOD5 from the three different contents 3%,1%,0.5%is about 20%with the operation of composting in the 24h,the final degradation is about 70%.The content of the total sugar and lipids were 8.6mg/g and 5.9mg/g at the beginning,decreasing to 3.39mg/g and 1.04mg/g in the end of experiment.The final degradation of them were 85%and 95.7%;the content of the hemicellulose was 57.5mg/g at the beginning,and 51.9mg/g in the end.The content of cellulose varied from 328.8mg/g to 341.6mg/g in the whole reaction time.(2) The total solid content and ash are increasing in the reacting time.The total solid content changed from 0.368g/g,0.418g/g,0.332g/g to 0.516g/g,0.596g/g,0.506 g/g.The ash content increased from 94.8mg/g initially to 170mg/g in the end.Bulk density varied from 0.101 g/cm3,0.126 g/cm3,0.077 g/cm3 in the beginning to 0.153 g/cm3,0.210 g/cm3,0.117 g/cm3 in the end of experiment.The FAS reduced from 0.73, 0.69,0.77 to 0.66,0.60,0.73,with an opposite trend to bulk density.(3) The characteristics of matrix were changing in the composting process.The microbiology was also varying with the matrix,the number of bacteria was 3.4×105cfu/g initially,increasing to the highest 2.9×107cfu/g and decreasing to 2.5×106cfu/g in the end.
