| Modern manufacturing requires the system could inspect processed parts more accurate and fast in the produced process. The traditional manual inspection and off-line inspection already can not reach the requirement because of low-lying inspection efficiency, bad inspection accuracy and cockamamie inspected process; The on-line inspection based on numerical manufacturing center can well measure free-form parts especially complex forms because it has characteristics of high efficiency, high accurate, reliable and intelligent. Thus, it has already become a leading and hot issue both at home and abroad.Based on the development background of numerical manufacturing technology and on-line inspection technology, combined with former technology and achievement, the holistic design and crucial technology of on-line inspection system are deep researched in the thesis and on-line inspection simulation and experiment system has been realized. The contents of the study include:1. It narrates standard of the research, developed result and developed trend of on-line inspection technology based on numerical manufacturing center complexly.2. Aimed at on-line inspecting technology, the method of extracting inspecting information is researched. It includes three aspects: based on typical form, CAD model and non-CAD model.3. Put forward an algorithm of matching CAD model and actual object. Design the macro program library of inspecting typical form and realize the function of coding macro program based on the free-form.4. Research the holistic design scheme to realize on-line inspecting system, comprehensively use VC++, MFC and OpenGL language to develop the object-oriented simulation and experiment system which establishes the basis to research and develop on-line inspecting technology more deep.5. Simulate the inspecting process and complete the experiment test, analyze the system systemically. Finally, point out the shortage of the experiment system and put forward my own opinion to improve it.
