The paper introduces the intention and significance of equipment state monitoring and fault diagnosis and its application and prospect in domestic and foreign enterprise. In view of the structure form and continuous production properties of three dust blowers for No.4 blast furnace of ironmaking plant in one large steel and iron enterprise, an online monitoring and diagnosis system which can meet the practical needs is developed. The system not only can realize real-time data acquisition, analysis and processing, selection of unit, setting the configuration parameter, forming database, over-limit alarm, interlock controlling during doing the work of monitoring the operation status of dust blower, but also it has the function of precise analysis and diagnosis which could complete the following analysis work: historical data playback, time domain analysis, trend analysis, spectrum field analysis, time-delay field analysis, demodulation analysis, FFT delicate analysis and so on.The research content of this paper is determined on the basis of a thorough analysis of the practical working condition of dust-removing blower and the concrete request for system development. That is, one hand analyzing and designing the signal sampling system of condition monitoring, the other hand on comparing the merit and demerit between networked data acquisition pattern based on TCP/IP and traditional data acquisition mode based on PCI slot, the networked data acquisition pattern is adopted to achieve the data collection at last.The key contents of this paper focus on condition monitoring of dust blower system. Consider that geographical position of the three dust blowers is quit dispersive and far from the control station and operation room, the conception which based on networked data acquisition is adopted to let the sampling data be digitized locally. The error of data transmission is avoided greatly, the data validity is guaranteed, the authenticity and credibility of fault diagnosis result are enhanced because of the strong anti-interference features of digital signal. At the same time, this system provides a convenient interface for constructing the network-based monitoring and diagnosis system for various equipments in the whole enterprise.The fact shows that each function of system is verified in practice and satisfies the users from field installation and pre-operational testing to now. The paper cuts a new approach for developing condition monitoring and faults diagnosis system for machine equipment, which shows mainly in two aspects: one is data management mode, the other is method of real-time data control based on RS-485 bus, meanwhile, it lays a foundation for developing related system in the further.
