Study On Ecological And Environmental Protection And Economic Development Of The Mid And Upper Region Of Yangtze River

Environment problem is the main obstacle of global economic and social sustainable development in the 21st century. The key to achieve sustainable development is to handle the relations between ecological environment protection and economic development; furthermore, the purpose of protecting ecological environment is to develop better. The mid and upper region of Yangtze River is not only the ecologically fragile area, the key area of national ecological protection and construction, but also an important defense line of China's ecological barrier. The protection of ecological environment in this region will have a direct impact on the most important support areas of China's economic development ---- the sustainable development of Yangtze River. The deteriorating environment in the mid and upper region of Yangtze River has caused the damage to the socio-economic development, we should realize a coordinated development of local natural and human environment by strengthening environmental protection and construction, and this requires study on the environment protection.At present, in the mid and upper region of Yangtze River, especially the Three Gorges is on the critical period of ecological environment construction. There are two problems, one is how to speed up and promote its integration into the country's modernization development process, the other is how to protect and construct environment. To do this historical choice, we must correctly understand the history state, development status, problems and future development model of natural human environment, to develop ecological economy and ecological civilization. Only by strengthening the ecological environment protection and construction of the Three Gorges area, and to solve the bottleneck of socio-economic development, can we eliminate the difference between this region and others.This paper is based on historical materialism, dialectical materialism, natural dialectics, Deng Xiaoping Theory and "Three Represents", uses the principle of Systems Theory, Information Theory, Cybernetics and Dissipative Structure, Synergetic and Catastrophe Theory. Furthermore, it adopts the research methods of Ethnology, Sociology, Ecology, Economics and related Natural Science and Social Science. At the same time, the paper uses some common methods of vertical and horizontal, qualitative and quantitative, static and dynamic, and specially researches the natural and human ecological environment history, current situation and construction problems of the Three Gorges area.This paper carefully studied on the basis of history and status of natural human environment in the Three Gorges area, analyze the serious reasons of the current environmental problems, synthesize successful experiences at home and abroad, to propose some main suggestions of strengthening ecological environment protection and economic development in the Three Gorges area, and explore a new approach which builds the Three Gorges area into a region that has regional characteristics of modern material civilization, spiritual civilization and ecological civilization, and this is under the prerequisite of the environment protection, to realize the harmony development of ecological environment, economy and society,...
