Gear as an important component of equipment, an ever-increasing scope of its application. With the equipment increasingly demanding high-quality, high-precision measurement gear has become increasingly urgent and important, as the development of measurement accuracy restricting the improvement of manufacturing technology, and promote the improvement of manufacturing technology, measurement technology first.Based on the principle of differential geometry, the malleability of involute tooth profile is researched. The typical curve families such as involutes family, straight generatrix family, helix family, and contact trace family are analyzed. The deviation of these curve family has direct influence on the accuracy of gear transmission. The deviation of these curve families has direct influence on the accuracy of gear transmission. The February 2 of them posed by the combination of characteristics as the grid can be inspected involute line profile based on the characteristics of precision, measurement gear to clear the direction. Rack to the media as a tool to study the conditions of the parallel axis involute gear meshing line with the principle axis staggered under the conditions of the theory of mesh points for the thesis research work laid the theoretical foundation.According to the new national gear standard, three deviation-measuring items must be included in the checkout of single gear: profile deviation, deviation and pitch deviation. Because pitch deviation measuring technology is very mature, the main research objective of this thesis is laid on chectout of profile deviation and helix deviation. After research of involute helicoids characteristic lines measuring theory and technology,straight generatrix deviation on-machine measuring theory and technology project with rack-shaped-edge probe is first put forward. Through measuring every deviations of straight generatrix family on tooth profile, measuring grids are ensured. Measuring data are then processed and the tooth profile deviation and helix deviation are thus separated, which the error-separating mathematical model for the tooth profile deviation and helix deviation is established based on straight generatrix deviation. Characteristic line papers on the measurement principle used in the machine measuring gear, such methods are used to assess the process of gear in the transmission quality of this method is different from conventional integrated measurement, and different from the single measurement.
