As one of the medium which carriers the information and media, printing product is so important in our daily life. And the high speed developer of the digital information and multimedia technology, make people want to have more better qualities, As the detection and measuring technique develop speedily, it made it is possible to design new instrument that is used on detection and measuring, and it has the great signification. As the post-PC times, along with the high developer of the information and networking, The Embedded operation system is extensively using in the area of science research, engineering design, military and our daily life. Also with the special advantages, The Embedded operation system is almost using everywhere. This paper studied the Embedded LINUX operation system based on the ARM chip. On this system we make a series of function using the digital image processing technology, such as calculating the dot area percentage, image partition and so on. Then we made the GUI using on this system based on MINIGUI.This papers studied on the image processing technique using in the Embedded operation system, and the dot detection and measuring .It is the using of the digital image processing technique on the dot detection and measuring, and also the Embedded operation system using on the printing area, It is a explore of the Embedded operation system using on such research and has importantly reference value on such area.
