Extracting techniques of honeysuckle were experimentally studied by using water-extraction, alcohol-extraction and ultrasonic-assisted extraction (UAE). The chlorogenic acid was extracted from honeysuckle and its content was analyzed with the LC-MS/MS method. With the gained results the yield was calculated and the technical parameters which could influence the extracting effects were discussed.The factors of extracting solution's pH, extracting temperature, pre-soakage, alcohol dosage, extracting time in water-extraction method and the factors of alcohol concentration, extracting solution's pH, alcohol dosage, extracting time in alcohol-extraction were the main effect factors to the honeysuckle paste and chlorogenic acid yield according to the orthogonal test. The acidic condition which was helpful to the extracting of chlorogenic acid was gained from the univariate experiments. Under the conditions of experiments, the optimal temperature was 70℃in water-extraction method and alcohol dosage was 70% in alcohol concentration.According to the research, ultrasonic could intensify the Chinese traditional medicine's extraction and ultrasonic cavitate effect had great influence on the chlorogenic acid extraction. The ultrasonic power and alcohol concentration which were the main factors to the honeysuckle paste and chlorogenic acid yield were gained through orthogonal test. Under the conditions of experiments, the optimal extracting effect was achieved with acidic and ultrasonic power 100 W·g-1 used in UAE.By comparing extraction yield of the above three extraction methods mentioned, the UAE method was considered as the optimal one for its higher extraction efficiency (from 35.46 mg·g-1 and 41.29 mg·g-1 to 59.23 mg·g-1) and little time consumption (from 2.5hours to 1hour). Under the conditions of experiments, the optimal extracting condition was without pre-soaked, grinded, 100 W·g-1 of ultrasonic power, 70% of alcohol concentration, 4.0 of extracting solution's pH, alcohol dosage 16 times of honeysuckle's quality, extracting 30 minutes and 2 times.This paper provided abundant basic theory not only for the extraction but also for the application in industry of chlorogenic acid.
