With the rapid development of China's automobile industry in recent years, the intensive competition between automobile enterprises impels enterprise to reduce the product cost, improve the quality and shorten the cycle of product manufacturing. The development of automobile body stamping dies is taken as the subject of consideration. This paper expounds the basal theory of the simultaneous engineering technology, improves the flow of the development of automobile body stamping dies, analyses the five key technologies in the development of automobile body stamping dies. The five key technologies are computer modeling technology, virtual manufacturing technology, product data management system, product engineering analysis technology and stamping forming computer aided engineering technology. Especially emphasizes and analyses two key technologies: product engineering analysis technology and stamping forming computer aided engineering technology.On the aspect of the product engineering analysis technology, this paper summarizes the problems of the parts in the stage of designing. The problems are the aspects of the stamping dies technology, the feasibility of the stamping dies structure design and the cost of the stamping dies. Many designing parts are taken as the researching objects. This paper analyses and summarizes the defects in the aspects of stamping technology and dies. According to the practical experience and simulation results, provides the suitable modification plan. In the development of the next program, these analysis results can be chosen as the successful experience.On the aspect of the computer aided engineering technology, this paper analyses the flow of the stamping CAE, the standard of evaluation the forming results and the control methods of forming technology. The defects in the process of stamping forming are researched in the paper, provides the relative AUTOFORM results. This paper emphasizes the effect of the stamping forming CAE technology in the development of automobile body stamping dies.This paper chooses the front door inner as the researching object. Building the CAE model of the part's stamping in the AUTOFORM. The key parameters of the virtual simulation are set, including numerical simulation of the process of drawing dies. It analyses the defects in the part's material, process and mould manufacturing aspects and so on. At last provides the reasonable suggestions. At last the part satisfied the requirement of the mould designing. It is very effectually and necessarily using the simultaneous engineering technology in the process of the development of automobile body stamping dies.
