In this paper the dynamic non-linear explicit finite element theory is investigated systematically ,which includes material models, element algorithm and contact algorithm etc. The finite element methods of stamping simulation are developed and a deep research regarding the selection of parameters is made during the process of simulation, on base of them, uniform design method is applied to simulate the stamping for automobile panel.1. The non-linear finite element theory for automobile panel forming simulation is explained and discussed. With the help of reference research papers, Three material models for stamping simulation are expounded and compared to each other. Shell element and contact algorithm are also explained.2. During stamping simulation of automobile panel, results are affected by parameters related to blank and mould, selection of punch virtual velocity, blank-hold force , radius of die and friction coefficient to effect of simulation precision is analysed.3. By introduction uniform design method to automobile panel stamping simulation improves efficiency while ensuring enough accuracy. A cylindrical cup simulation testified the feasibility by this optimization method.4. Fender of light vehicle is stamped by computer simulation. Compared simulation result with real stamping result deeply testifies the feasibility about uniform design method in parameters optimum, and also provides reference to later application with this method, at the same time, adopts variable blank-holder forces segment blank-holder and change direction of draw bead to improve the quality of moulding.
