| Conjugated polymers (e.g., polyacetylenes, polythiophenes, polyanilines etc.) exhibit interesting properties for the development of lightweight batteries, electrochromic display devices, light-emitting diodes, optical switches, etc. However, these conjugated polymers like conventional polymers, have distribution of molecular weight, conjugated length and structure defects. The properties of the conjugated polymers are therefore the statistic averages of each structure. This renders the difficulty of controlling properties of materials through tailoring of their molecular structure. By comparison, monodisperse conjugated oligomers, characterized by step-by-step increasing size of theπ-system, can establish detailed structure-properties relationship for their corresponding polymers. On the other hand, monodisperse conjugated oligomers could also act as excellent materials, because studies on the conjugated oligomers have revealed that the covergence limit of optical and electronic properties of many conjugated polymers [e. g., poly(p-phenylenevinylene)s, ladder-type poly(p-phenylene)s, polythiophenes and polyanilines] is already reached for oligomers containing only a few repeat units. Although the oligomers are easy to study than their polymer, they are still poor in the properties. To avoid that, one way is to make compound with other materials. In this thesis, we develop a new method for synthesizing the electroactive poly (aryl ether ketone). Using this technique, we got enormous amount of reactant in short time and had synthesized a new electroactive poly (aryl ether ketone).1. Synthesis of monomer(1) Compound are synthesis by p-hydroxyl-diphenylamine and 4, 4-difluorobenzphenone. Using the mixture of water and ethanol to eliminate the excessive 4, 4-difluorobenzphenone.(2) Compound and the schiff base of p-phenyleneaiamine dissolved in the mixture of DMF,acetone, distilled water and hydrochloric acid. Monomer is got by oxidate coupling.2. Synthesis of polymer(1) Polymer is got by the reaction between monomer and bisphphenol S. the new electroactive poly (aryl ether ketone) would have the electroactivity of PANI as well as the properties and stability of poly (aryl ether ketone) at high temperature.(2) Another two new poly (aryl ether ketone) are synthesized to help to learn the way how the properties changed with the main chain does. This part of work will help us to improve the properties of electroactive poly (aryl ether ketone) in future. |
