| Coordinated development between land use and eco-environment is the major avenue to the realization of sustainable development, and increasingly attracting world wide attention in recently years. The sustainable use of urban land influences directly city's sustainable development, even the people's sustainable goal. Shanghai, as a developed and populous metropolis, has witnessed fast advance in economics and great change in city construction. The strong needs of land will surely make huge impact to the intension, method, scale, distribution of land use, bring strong impact to the ecosystem environment, and threat ecosystem safety seriously. To ensure ecosystem's safety and realize a sustainable development of our economy and society, coordinating the relations between land use & ecological environment must be put on the top priority. This raises a new question on Shanghai's land use about how to guarantee the need of land for economic and social development, and promote the overall economic and social development, while taking account of environment protection and ecological construction, accelerating the harmony and sustainable development of society. This article researches land use versus environment in Shanghai city, provides scientific evidence to support sustainable development. In chapter one, the research background, subject significance, technical route and main context are briefly given. The general situation of research area is introduced, mainly focusing on the Coordination Degree between land use and environment. In chapter two, the thesis analyses the eco-environment current situation, identifying some ecological environment problems related to land use, and extract out the major factor restricting sustainable utilization of land in Shanghai. The research indicates that intensely exploiting activities of land brings many ecological environment problems, which displays in the following five aspects, i.e. land subsidence, environmental pollution, ecological deficit, city greening, ecological sensitive. In chapter three, the paper analysis the relation between land use and environment by means of qualitative and quantitative analysis methods. The research shows that compared to 1996, land ecosystem's service value in 2005 has seen an increasing tendency. The contributions' order of each land use type's ecology service value is in turn: wetland > water area > farmland > forest > non-irrigated farmland > grassland. The wetland and water area have a key significance on Shanghai's ecology service values. Through a further quantitative analysis, we find that Shanghai's implementing of building an ecological city has played an active role in promoting the land ecosystem's service value and at the same time, from the structural changes in ecosystem's service value, it can be seen that a large amount of farmlands and water areas are changing for construction use. By and large, the ecology service values manifest a growing trend from the amount, but in terms of structure, land ecosystem is still faced with an enormous pressure.Chapter four starting from the concept of Coordinated Development between land use and ecological environment and the Coordination Degree, and making use of a method integrating Factor Analysis with Correlation Analysis, carries on a quantitative analysis of Shanghai's harmonious development situation between land use and environment during 2000-2005. First, on the basis of PSR (Pressure- Status-Response) framework and the expert-consulting method, we establish an index system of land use and ecological environment's harmonious development. Then, based on PSR model we calculate the Coordination Degree between land use & ecological environment. The result indicates that in overview, land use and environment are co-developing in Shanghai city.In chapter five, the paper puts forwards a series of Countermeasures coordinating the relations between Shanghai's land use & ecological environment, which includes the establishment of an environment-friendly land use pattern and appropriate control index of the environment. This article will contribute to the sustainable development and strategies of Shanghai. |
