Because of the requirement of high quality, high reliability and zero defects in aerospace products, we have to pay high attention to the quality in every step from the headstream in the process of quality control to ensure the overall quality. In the procedure, attaching importance to meticulous administration , carrying out the quality under the control of the entire process, carrying out quality inspection confirmation and recheck , ascertaining the emphases in quality control and implementing controlling to key procedure of production are important to ensure product quality coherence and reliability. This requires that we apply modern science and technology and the means right away, reinforce and take effective measures, improve manufacture level, completely eradicate the repeatedly happening quality problem.The X-ray detecting technology gets extensive use in aluminum alloy weld evaluation in aeronautic and astronautic industry. In aerospace product aluminum alloy weld evaluation, the X-ray film evaluation is the most important step. In the procedure the inquiry about the film is a difficulty, for the large number of film. And the traditional manual interpretation process is known as labor intensive, over-relying on subjective monitoring, also less consistency and accuracy. And the process control and product quality are difficult to ensure. The problem discussed in this paper is suggested under this background.According to the request of product quality control, we adopt the modern information processing technology, make use of a computer aided management system, develop a system which includes the function of digitization of X-ray film, edge extraction of defects, evaluation of the X-ray film and so on. The system is mainly developed on the platform of Microsoft Visual Studio .NET. The fuzzy inference system and adaptive neural network which used for defects classification is developed with MATLAB6.5 and called through the VisualC++.NET Interface function. The evaluation results are saved to Access database and the inquiry is implemented with SQL. Meanwhile a quality management system which provides the defects information and analysing may be a strong basis for welding quality control. This is an improvement of the X-ray detecting technology, and quality management.
