The Study On Ming Style Bookshelf Based On Post-Modernism

The thesis takes Ming style bookshelf as the research object. There are two reality basis:Firstly, in the information society, study life style as a kind of positive life attitude has been integrated to people's family life. From the product angle, the furniture establishment is an effective method on building pleasant study atmosphere in family housing space. So, the thesis draws attention to the bookshelf furniture.Secondly, Chinese furniture design is westernized mostly now. Post-Modernism takes our view back to the past. We even pay attention to the national culture, for instance Ming style furniture.Combining the characteristic of Ming style bookshelf, and from general and narrow sides of decoration concept, the thesis attempts to excavate the Post-Modernism on Ming style bookshelf. From the general side, the Post-Modernism of Ming style bookshelf may be enlarged to its decoration function in the family housing space. From the narrow side, the Post-Modernism of Ming style bookshelf is human's unique consciousness feeling on its edge, surface and craft esthetics. And I hope that the summary of this thesis will offer some valuable references for Chinese furniture design.
