This paper studied on the problems of aluminum liquid lift pot cleaning machine. In the paper, movement mechanism, entire project, tool parameter, tool inclination angles, turning milling cutters, roughness of the lift pot and structure strength were concrete studied.With the theory of metal cutting, a motion structure of complex milling cutters with cutting inclination angles and planetary motion which was suitable for the special purpose milling machine used for clearing aluminum liquid lift pot was presented for the first time. This paper represented that research with the theory of turn-milling and dealt with the motion analysis. Based on the structural formation of the liquid aluminum lift pot, the distribution and the shape of the residue, the technical material and data of similar machine and close mechanic equipment were collected in this paper at first. Several overall projects are proposed, analyzed and discussed. With the auxiliary software of Pro/engineer and Ansys, structure of the milling machine was presenting.With the theory of metal cutting, two big milling cutters which were rotating around the structural body were adopt in this special purpose milling machine to cut the residue in the bottom and surface of the container.With the theory of modern design, the range of cutting inclination angles and the choose of indexable milling cutters were determined and with the researches on motion of turning milling by switching the axis, the speed of every milling cutter and the roughness of lift pot would be determined.According to the principle of choosing turning cutters and determined rotation rate, the angle of turning cutter was determined, then using the Weilenmann Formula, the cutters force and the machine power was determined which would be provided as basic data for analysis the intensity and stiffness.In the designing of the rotation structure, by building 3-D model of rotation structure, the assembling of the rotation structure was formed to detect the interference and defectness of the design. Finally, with the advantages of CAE, the finite element analysis of the tumbling body was performing; The optimal improvement of the spare parts were carried out by the analysis and treatment of the analytical results.
