| The technique of 2D measurement is very important in the field of Reverse Engineering (RE), Industry Inspection & Quality Control, and the reconstruction of the profile curve is playing the key role during the rebuilding of the curved surface in the Reverse Engineering. On the basis of computer vision and finite element method (FEM) simulation technology, we build a set of measurement system of 2D RE, which provides a rapid, wide-range, maneuverable measurement method compared to the traditional coordinate measuring machine (CMM). Therefore, it is very valuable to build a simple measuring system. The research work is as the following:1. To set up a hardware platform with a simple construction and the fixed single CCD measurement system about the 2D RE including the CCD & scene, computer, tripod and the calibration board. At the same time, we completed the software frame of the measurement system.2. To research the calibration of the measurement of the fixed single CCD. The author put forward an algorithm which is with the aid of a point-mesh calibration board as a supplement measure instrument and by virtue of FEM bilinear interpolation. This algorithm integrates the gray technique, the theory of zoom & the edge contour of the image. Then make use of FEM bilinear interpolation to achieve a stable & reliable measurement method of the fixed single CCD.3. To get the 2D coordinates of the prototype work piece by the method brought forward in the article (the means of calibration & FEM simulation technique), further to complete the reconstruction of 2D image. The author put forward a method on how to deal with the graphics vectorization, and get the file whose format is can be read and transformed by AutoCAD.Main achievements of research work:The author researched an algorithm about the fixed single CCD. On the base of the algorithm, the author developed a application software of 2D measure system. The research activities of author are the basis of the following research work.
