The paper stems from the project of National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (Type A), named "The Three Dimensional Digital Design System and Tools of Industry-Oriented" (No.2002AA411030).Modern Machine tool, as a complex machining equipment, possesses complicated working theory and significant control device, a machine whose design rationality of ergonomic performance is directly related to human security. At present, although China's machine tool design and manufacturing industries have developed, productions closely related to design and testing methods of human-machine product are few. Therefore, the research and application of machine tool human-machine detection has far-reaching significance in modern machine design revolution.In order to solve the problems of visual field detection in machine tool design, a visual field model—a model that is able to truly reflect human basic visual field and virtue visual field —is constructed, based on deep research on the principles of ergonomics design, visual task and theories of visual imaging. In this paper, we research the parameterized building and locating methods of visual field model, establish relative databases according to human body measure dimensions of China and visual parameters and implement the dynamic visual field detection by an arithmetic which calculates the intersection of visual field model and machine tool. Using the object-oriented VC++ language for SolidWorks' further development, we developed a dynamic visual field detective system for machine tool design. Initially, this system was validated according an instance of a numerical control machine.The paper brings forward a prototype system, which integrates a considerable number of design criterions, knowledge and referenced data. The system is able to dynamically detect the machine tool. The intuitionistic detective process and precise detective result can provide advices for the amelioration of machine tool design. The construction of system could solve some problems in the ergonomic design on machine tool, which will be an organic component in machine tool design. |
