It is very important for Yanshan Chemical Corporation to save the industrial cooling water and improve the concentration factors, because Beijing is confronted with the serious scarcity of water. Considering the high hardness and alkalinity of cooling water, efficient reagents and technology of water treatment were studied and developed in the paper.The copolymer, which could prevent the calcium phosphate and zinc sulfate from scaling efficiently, was developed and prepared. Materials in the synthesis experiments were AA, HPA, AMPS, ammonium peroxydisulfate and sodium phosphate. According to the anti-scaling effect of copolymers prepared under different conditions, optimized technology was obtained. Experimental results show that the copolymer has the best anti-scaling effect while the quantity of HPA andAMPS is D3, E9 respectively. Especially, the 38# copolymer has better antiscale effect than other reagents under the same condition.On the basis of static antiscale and inhibiting experiments, three composition schemes were adopted. Dynamic simulation experimental results show that the erosion rate of YSW105 composition scheme is 0.018mm·a-1 and the adhesion rate is 7.7 mcm. The pH range and some key factors controlling erosion were studied. The effect of YSW105 regent under some abnormal conditions was investigated. These results could benefit the real situation. The concentration factor could get 5.0 and the concentration of Ca2+ could become 1100~1200mg/l when the YSW105 was used in the treatment of high hardness and alkalinity water.The pilot-scale experiment of YSW105 shows that both erosion rate of heat exchanger and adhesion rate excel the standard of China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation. The YSW105 has good antiscale and inhibiting property , which could be used in the groundwater and surface water treatment with high hardness, alkalinity, and concentration factor.
