In order to resolve measuring problems that needed urgently for wire, cable, fiber cable etc, we researched a kind of non-contacted and on-line measuring instrument, which had some characteristics of high speed, high accuracy and non-contacted automatic measurement, etc, based on the single-direction diameter laser-scanned measuring technology. It combined the laser-scanned measuring technology with special optical system. The laser-scanned beam scanned four directions of one section e of the measured work piece at the same time. Roundness errors can be gotten after the beams with the dimension information of work piece processed by the scanning receive optical system, the hardware circuit and data process system.In this paper, we introduced the measuring principle of laser-scanned measuring system. Based on the overall structure design of this system, we not only designed mainly hardware circuit and software of measuring system, but also completed designs for the acquirement of collimation beam, f θ lens and precise machine system assorted with optical system. In the end, the measuring errors of the system are analyzed, and the method of improving system accuracy is put forward.
