Spectrofluorometry has merit in a sense that it is more sensitive, selective and simpler than other techniques. It plays more and more important role in many application fields such as environmental protection, food industry and medical chemistry with the rapid development of novel fluorescent probes. Because of its simple analytical procedure and high sensitivity, absorptiometry is applied widely to the determination of substance in real samples in the industry and agriculture or our ordinary life. For example, it is used widely to the detection of trace substance in high purity materials. Both the fluorescent intensity and the absorbance are most important analytical parameters. Using the new method combining spectrofluorometry with absorptiometry could develop the analytical chemistry. Although there are some studies on the sensor for Cr (VI) determination based on synchronous spectrofluorometry and absorptiometry, the applications of synchronous spectrofluorometry and absorptiometry are still limited. One of the reasons might be the lack of the novel reagents with double recognition functions (fluorescence recognition and absorbance recognition). A double recognition functional reagent reacts with different component in the same system might provide different fluorescence signals and different absorbance signals. Based on this, a new method combining spectrofluorometry and absorptiometry might determine different components without mutual separation. Therefore, the thesis includes two parts: one is that the novel reagents with double spectrometric recognition functions are synthesized and characterized on the basis of the relationship between fluorescence intensity, absorbance and the structure of reagent. Another is the applications of the novel reagents based on spectrofluorometry, absorptiometry or the combination of spectrofluorometry and absorptiometry. The content of each chapter in the thesis can be summarized as the following:Chapter 1: The classification of fluorescence reagents and chromogenic reagents and relationship between fluorescence intensity, absorbance and the structure of reagent are described. The synthesis of 8-aminoquinoline derivative, benzothiazole derivative and 3,...
