Study On Sustainable Level Of Mountainous Area In West ZheJiang Province By Ecological Footprint Model

Ecological Footprint can measure how many natural resources are needed by regional society,so the EF can reflect our influence to nature.At the same time, the EF model contrast natural capital damand with biological environment , it also comprise mechanism of sustainable. So it is a perfect method to measure regional sustainability.This paper introduced the backdrop,theory and calculate method of ecologyical footprint.The paper choosed the Chun'an county of ZheJiang province for research. the Chun'an county is a typical region in the west area of ZheJiang province,its economy and consumption condition is representative in the west area of ZheJiang province.The paper counted trends of EF of Chun'an county,and calculate EF of Chun'an county in 2004 with questionnaire means.Conpare the two result, the paper had measured efection of trade between Chun'an with other region around.Using EF model, the paper decided the Chun'an county is on critical situation of sustainable now.By the result, The paper pointed out several strategy to improve Chun'an's eco-system sustainability. The paper also counted the EF of 1×104 yuan GDP declined, forecasted the EF of Chun'an in 2010.For the EF model have several defect, the paper mend some parameter and method of the EF.
