| Diisopropyl ether is an important raw material and solvent in chemical industry. It is widely applied in many ways, such as recovery of acetic acid and butyric acid from their dilute solution, extraction of acetic acid, lactic acid and phenol from aqueous solutions, solvent of grease, wax, mineral oil, some of natural resins, ethyl cellulose, extractive solvent for tar and nicotine from tobacco, vitamin A from cod-liver oil and the third monomer of natrium of sulphur cyanic acid from nitrile fiber yielded by wet process and extractive recovery for compounds containing phenols and naphthalene from coal gas. In addition, diisopropyl ether is used to dispose sullage containing phenols in coal gas factory. It is also a good gasoline additive because of its high octane rating and anti-freezed function.The performances of diisopropyl ether are similar to TAME , BTBE and MTBE. Through experiments, the optimal conditions of reaction using JSH-01 and JSH-02 resin catalysts were gained, respectively. On the basis of the experimental study, the 3000t/a manufactural process of diisopropyl ether from propylene and isopropanol in Jinzhou petrochemical company was optimized, By the replacement of catalyst and adjustment of operating conditions ,Propylene conversion was increased from 5.05% to 10.12%, Isopropanol conversion was increased from 22.35% to 33.78%, the production was lowed by 1275.65 yuan/t,Thus brings net bonus 1.60 mi.RMB. The study can play an important role in production for diisopropyl ether plant of Jinzhou petrochemical company. |
