More and more household appliances are produced in company with economic growth and living standard improved.There are growing amount of waste household appliances at the same time.It would be make a pollution and bad for a continuable and developmental national economy if randomly discarded or mishandled because of heavy metals and toxic chemical materials which exist in waste household appliances.This is a big problem which have to be settled urgently.Life cycle assessment (LCA) is an efficient method that could know about the resource expenditure and environmental impact of overall process of their activities, and also a environmental manage tool which is powerful and development in 21 Century. By studying and analyzing lots of references at home and abroad, this thesis Construct a LCA model of resource of waste household appliances ,which based on《IS014040 LCA-Principles and Framework》 .Research on resource of wastehousehold appliances using LCA method is good for comparison of contaminants' environmental impact in different life cycles , advantage and shortcoming compared with different disposal methods, select and prioritize contaminants' disposal and reduced the substance which is bad to environment and health.Take example for a waste print circuit board (PCB),which is classical component in waste household appliances,to apply on the LCA model .As a result, the environmental influence potential of pyrogenic decomposition is better than that of breaking in Guangzhou. Photochemical Ozone synthesis is the most important environmental impact category in both methods.Breaking 's energy consumption is better than pyrogenic decomposition's,both of them get net energy which show that resource is a reasonable method to waste PCB.In net energy consumption, pyrolysis oven is major part in pyrogenic decomposition while Disassembly-recycling in breaking.LCA of resource of waste household appliances is an efficient tool for environmental management,which procession embody environment strategy ofsustainable development.lt can be used to assess resource methods of waste household appliances and support decision maker.
