| Reformatsky and Barbier-Grignard reaction are two important reactions of thecarbon-carbon bond formation and they are particular important in organic synthesis. So, the study of the aqueous system is one of the main focuses in chemical researchtoday. The first time a pure water system was desigened. The Reformatsky reactioncould run smoothly α-bromoacetone and aromatic aldehyde mediated by the zinc dustwithout any organic co-solvent and phase-transfer catalyst in this system and the yieldis good. Two new compounds were synthezised and characterized by IR, 1H NMR andelement analysis. An primary mechanism of single electron transfer (SET) were proposed throughthe analysis. A radical anion is coordinated in the metal surface and react with thealdehyde. The product is obtained by acidification the intermediate. The Barbier-Grignard-type carbonyl alkylation using unactived alkyl halides inwater was investigated. But there wasn't prospective results.Furthermore, single-crystal X-ray diffraction measurements of four compoundswere carried out in order to elucidate the structure. |
