The Prepared And Applied Study On New-style Macromolecule Compound Flocculant

With the unique characteristics of adsorption and good performance with certain polarity substances, the study focused on the clay and its modified patterns, and prepared a new type of macromolecule compound flocculant (1~# flocculant) that is economical, safty and high-efficient by polymerizing between modified clay and polyhydroxy aluminium cations under certain conditions. Besides, the study also prepared the 2~# flocculant with waste acid solution modified by the clays. Then, flocculation performance of 1# and 2# flocculant were tested systemically by treating printing and dyeing wastewater respectively.In the study, the raw clays were purified due to existence of different minor elements, such as Mg, Al Fe and Ca, etc., in the labatory. Then, it got the optimum conditions that the constant temperature was 60℃, the concentration of hydrochloric acid was 15% and lasted 10 hours, under which the modified clay had the best structures and performed well. Meanwhile, polyhydroxy aluminium cations were prepared by hydrolyzation of aluminium cation under the value of pH being 4 to 4.5. According to the ratio of solids to liquids being 1:5 and constant temperature of 40℃, fully mixed polyhydroxy aluminium cations with the modified clay, and added proportional volumn of waste acids, 1# flocculant was produced. In addition, factors influencing its properties of flocculation were investigated. Flocculation performance was tested by the removal efficiency of turbidity, COD concentration, chroma and suspended substances, which can be achieved by treatment of printing and dyeing wastewater. It is showed that all the removal efficiency have reached above 95% respectively when the amounts of 1# flocculant was 1. 5g/L and pH = 6.34. Compared with other flocculants, the novel flocculants produced by this study performed well, whichalso has other advantages of broaden application range, rapid flocculation velocity and high efficiency of removing different pollutants in the the wastewater.By impletementing varieties of advanced analytic techniques, like XRD, IR, TEM and SEM, etc. , the research analysized and tested to the raw materials for experiments, the modified flocculants and its products after flocculating. Also, it tentatively explored the mechanism of the reaction. The results indicated that 1#flocculant is composed of modified clays that are porous, polyhydroxy and good adsorptive capacity, and some colloid materials including polyhydroxy colloid compounds with different metal chorides, such as aluminium, magnemium, iron and calcium radicals. Therefore, the paper presented that the mechanism of flocculation is mainly combined adsorption of modified clays with flocculation of different metal salts, mostly chorides.On the other hand, the preparation and flocculation of 2# flocculant was also studied in the experiments. The 2# flocculant can be produced by curing reaction that used activated silicic acid with waste acid modified by clays under the conditions of constant temperature being 40℃ , volume proportion of 1:1, pH=4.5 and reactivity time was 40 mininutes. The results showed that the optimum removal efficiency of turbidity, COD concentration, chroma and suspended substance can be achieved when the amounts of flocculant was 1ml/100ml solution and pH=7.2.
