It has been widely used for industrial and municipal wastewater treatment.Biological aeration filter (BAF) was combined with chemical coagulation and was used for the treatment of waste water from municipal waste water work for the purpose of reuse. Chemical coagulant was used as the first-step process for the removing suspended solids(SS) and colority, and BAF as the second-step for removing the pollutants further through biological activity and biological filtration of biofilm.
