| The bentonite is cheap and plentiful mineral resource which has good function of turning the things. It can be used for many deep-process products, containing the White Black Carbon, organism bentonite, compound material and so on. It is a new direction in advanced application of bentonite that make use of bentonite in preparing zeolite, as well it makes the cost of preparing zeolite lower because bentonite is cheap and plentiful mineral resource.In the paper, the structure transformation of bentonite after hydrothermal reaction (temperature from 70°C to 100°C concentration of NaOH from 0.5 mol . L-1 to mol . L-1, less than 40 hours), after heat treatment(from 200°C to 600°C) and after alkali treatment have been investigated by XRD. The mechanism of alkali treatment bentonite has been stadied. A new technique use to prepare zeolite Y, zeolite X and zeolite 4A is proposed. In this process, the bentonite after alkali treatment and aluminate(or directing reagent) has been dissolved in water together, crystallizing several hours, zeolites are obtained.
