Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF) Steelmaking is an important steelmaking method, and it's one of the most important parts of the iron & steel producing industry. Today, there are about 600 oxygen-blowing converters in operation worldwide which produce approximately 450 million a year. This accounts for roughly 60% of the total steel produced worldwide. The primary task of which is to provide the steel bath of which both the element and temperature hit the tapping aim slot at the steelmaking endpoint simultaneously. In actual BOF steelmaking process, steel bath element and temperature can't be measured continuously and operation conditions very frequently, which makes it difficult to control the BOF endpoint precisely, and it often happens that operators have to re-smelt the steel bath due to the low control precision. So improving the control precision of BOF steelmaking process is very important. A thorough research is made on the control of BOF steelmaking procedure in this paper.In this paper, we combine static control method and dynamic control method to BOF steelmaking process, and these methods improved by introducing neural network, fuzzy inference, expert system and so on. The detail woks are as follows:1.Research of the Static Control Method:To make up for the shortcomings of the ordinary BOF static control method, neural network technique is applicated to BOF static control process, and a new BOF intelligent static control method is established.2.Research of the Dynamic Control Method:On the basis of the Static Control method, a new BOF intelligent dynamic control method is also established in which many techniques such as neural network, fuzzy inference and expert system are applied.
