Chloromthane is one of the important reagents and intermediates for synthesis of herbicide, fungicide, insecticide and other fine chemicals, especially the organosilane materials — methylchlorosilane (MCS) etc..Based on the retrieval and review of the bibliographer, the original process for the preparation of Glyphosate in Zhejiang Xin'an Chemical co., Ltd was evaluated. The priencipals of the reaction to produce the byproduct Chloromthan was proposed and studied. The equiluberiam of the mass transfer for the process was studied. The quantity of the byproduct Chloromthan was decided and the composition of Chloromthan in the residual gas is as high as 60-70%. The factors which influence the separation and the quality of the byproduct Chloromthan such as the ratio of methanol, methylal, hydrochloride, water and process parameters were studied by the experiments respectively. The optimal parameters of the novel process were selected. The rational process for recovering Chloromthan was proposed and evaluated systematically according to the results of the experiments. The novel process, reactors and separate system etc. were designed. The results of the process data in test of the 5000t/a Glyphosate set were accorded with those of the experiments. The total recovery (yield) of...
