Dimethyl Phosphite is one of the important intermediates for synthesis of herbicide, fungicide, insecticide and other fine chemicals, especially the organic phosphorus insecticide DDVP, Glyphosate etc..The typical process for the synthesis of Dimethyl Phosphite is the continuous process starting from methanol and trichloro phosphine. As the important intermediate of Glyphosate, it is the key point to improve the quality of Glyphosate by optimizing process parameters and improving the process control. There was a set of 1000t/a process of Glyphosate in Zhejiang Xin'an Chemical co. Ltd.. In order to reduce the producing cost and enhance the competition of market of Glyphosate, it is essential to increase the yield of Dimethyl Phosphite.Based on the retrieval and review of the bibliographer, the original process for the preparation of Dimethyl Phosphite in Zhejiang Xin'an Chemical co., Ltd was evaluated. The novel process for preparation of Dimethyl Phosphite continuously starting from methanol and trichloro phosphine with no solvent was proposed and studied. The mathematical models of dynamics for the chemical reaction of methanol and trichloro phosphine and the reactors were established by the study of thermodynamics and dynamics.
