The theme-teaching pattern denotes student groups develop themes together with the teachers of different department (teacher group team) and spread out teaching activity around these themes by standardizing teaching program and operative system in comprehensive and practical activity. It reshuffles the curriculum of 21 century with the background of the transformation of instruction paradigm. It bases on material resource, cultural resource, manpower resource, information resource in school, community and network. Its goal lies in enriching natural experience, resolving environmental problem and forming environmental behavior with interdisciplinary knowledge, information and the direct experience. The pattern can satisfy the needs of implementation of environmental education efficiently. However , the environmental education of our country starts late, this results in a theoretical blind spot and a practical blank of constructing and applying the theme-teaching pattern. Meantime , the study circle also doesn't scout theoretically and build scientifically theme teaching. Thus only the connection environmental education with theme-teaching pattern can find out a new route of environmental education in the course of comprehensive and practical activity.the paper has discussed the intension ^ value and theoretical foundation of educational theme-teaching pattern , summarized the principle and the major method of theme development and analyzed the basic structure and the overall feature of this pattern , that is, the teaching goal of "natural experience-environmental problem resolution-environmental behavior nurturance ", the teaching space of " outdoor campaign-probe in lesson ", the teaching program of " developing theme-setting up scheme-student interaction ", and the teaching condition of move mutually and the teaching relationship of" student as a subject-teacher as a guide " . I developed practical investigation, combined specific teaching practice of environment education and constructed three kinds of basic types of the pattern ,that is, " the theme-teaching pattern of natural experience orientation ","the theme-teaching pattern of the environmental problem resolution orientation "and" the theme-teaching pattern of environmental behavior nurturance orientation " Study indicates that the theory meaning and practical value of The Theme-teaching Pattern of Environmental Education.
