System Of Development Of Extrusion Mould CAD/CAM

With the development and widely used of the computer technology, CAD/CAM has been more and more used in industry. And because of the continually appearance of the new products, it has become a problem that badly needed to be solved for us that how to shorten the developing period and improve product's quality. Designing and manufacturing quality of extrusion mould immediately relates with the product's quality and product's developing period. This paper has deeply discussed and studied the tache related to designing and manufacturing process of extrusion mould. This paper particularly introduced the application of group technology and database technology in extrusion aluminium type material product and the corresponding mould, discussed the related technology about designing and manufacturing extrusion mould and integration of searching and updating the product's drawing, searching and rapidly designing extrusion mould drawing, creating manufacturing process of extrusion mould and all of the related information bases. And it has realized nicety and efficient management about extrusion aluminium type material product and the developing information of mould. This paper has discussed the data exchange, the data transformation and the integration method between applications and between graphics supported software and introduced the variable design method of moulds and the process and method of automatically creating mould manufacturing techniques card. Based on the study achievement of this paper, a CAD/CAM integrated system of aluminum type material extrusion mould has been developed and been applied into practice and got favorable technically economic effect.
