Polylactic acid (PLA), a new type of degradable polymer synthesized by the monomer of lactic acid, is the environmental-friendly material, but its brittleness makes it hard to satisfy the needs of extensive industrial application. Modifying the brittleness of PLA can expand the application.In this paper, it was focused on studying the blending and plasticization of PLA with PEG and PPG, Nano SiO2 was previously dispersed in PEG and PPG. This experiment pointed at learning the influence of adding plasticizer PEG and PPG on the structure and properties. The effect of adding Nano SiO2 was also discussed in this paper.DMA, SEM and PM were used to study the microstructure of PLA and its blends. The mechanical properties, thermal properties, dynamic rheometry and plasticizer migration of the blends were analyzed.The results showed that PEG and PPG have plasticized PLA because elongation at break and impact strength have increased, adding nano SiO2 to the polyblend could enhance the mechanical properties, which can be showed in the increasement of elongation at break and impacti strength. Adding Nano SiO2 effectively prevented the migration by 50%, but the nano particles do not influence the dynamic rheometry and thermal properties a lot. |
