Study On The Growing Characteristics And Rules Of The Geological Hazards On Loess Plateau

The loess are widespread in our country, especially in the Losee Plateau in northwest Chian. Because of defective engineering properties of losee and especially landcapes and climate, Losee Plateau become one of the area where there are many geological hazards. The characteristics and growing rules and necessary condition of geological hazards in Losee Plateau were analyzed pivot through field surey and data collection in this article. And then discussed the mechanism of classic geological hazards.The geological hazards in research area are divided into five types:landslides,collapses,mudslides hidden dangers,unstable slopes and surface collapse. The plane shape of the landslides is very typical, with a simple basic mechanic pattern. As for collapses, they are characterized by small-scale and take place quickly. Under the influence of Human project activities, the mudslides hidden dangers are characterized by start easily and greater destructive. The gradient span of instable slopes is very wide and their figures give priority to linearity. Instable slopes are of high potential danger. The surface collapse is large and high danger and there many ground fissures in the place.The geological hazards were developed mainly in the estern of the researcharea, they were distributed in laminate way, some were distributed in strip way along the valley terrace; also they were developed in the precipitation centralized year and every June to September in time.The formation of geological hazards is controlled by topography, stratum and lithology. The triggered factors are atmospheric precipitation. The affecting factors are human activity.
