In the development of modern western scientific methodology, Logical positivism and Falsificationism insisted on the doctrine of pre-logical model, but they are so excessively stressed normative methodology that they detached from the actual history of science. Kuhn and Feyerabend emphasized the historical facts and strived to make their view of science in line with the actual history of science. Also, they are so excessively emphasized on the history of science that they trapped in the irrational quagmire. In order to solve the drawbacks of Logical positivism and Falsificationism. Laudan advocated the combination of logical and historical models. Which is stand of Laudan'methodology.Laudan lived in USA, where pragmatism is popularly. So his theory inevitably influenced by pragmatism. In so far as science demarcation is concerned , Laudan proposed to dissolve demarcation of science problem, he want to replace of"scientific"and"non-scientific"with"reliable"and"unreliable". He thought that this is meaningful and easily to solve. In progress and rationality of science, Laudan proposed to take the place of truth with"solving problem". His pragmatic view of scientific progress was criticized by many scientists, because of excluding truth. Laudan proposed a"network model"to solve the scientific rationality. In this model ,theory, method, and goal are interrelated , this model was also criticized by many scientists, because of ignoring social environment. Later, Laudan proposed the normative naturalism theory, in which methods are normative and variably, but the discussion of normative is not enough.Although Laudan's theories need to be improved, they care of great positive significance, Laudan focus on an in-depth study of"problem",an in-depth study of scientific mechanism, and so on.
