To improve the key techniques on deep water oil and gas exploration, a special research project is established in the "Eleventh Five-Year" period, and the deepwater pipeline laying is the essential key technology of the project. Deepwater pipeline was once applied with J-lay, but with the development of technology, S-lay is gradually applied to deep water pipeline laying, and it has significantly increased the efficiency of the pipeline laying.The thesis systematically introduces the commonly used methods of pipe-lay, S-type stinger history and the current studies of deep water pipe-lay technology in our country, gives a detailed description of the basic design of advanced stinger, and deeply analyzes the key issues in detailed design and the failure mode in the pipe-lay.The thesis puts forward a combination of global and local numerical analysis.
