With enormous environmental functions and benefits, the wetlands have received considerable attentions in the past couples of years,but the systemic research of wetland regionalization in large-scale is not much.The systemic and deep studies on wetland regionalization in China were done in the theories and methods in this paper.The studies have important theoretical and practical significance to the development of wetland regionalization in China,and certain significance to guide works of wetland in China.In this paper,study methods of theoretical analysis and example analysis are used.On the basis of the comprehensive analysis of domestic and international studies,history,current situation and existing problems of wetland are understood correctly. The connotation and nature of wetland regionalization are defined,and wetland regionalization is posited.The theoretical basis and principles of wetland regionalization are defined,indexes system design principles and component of wetland regionalization in China are presented,and methods of regionalization are confirmed.For this time,the system architecture of wetland regionalization is discussed.The results show that:1. wetland regionalization is carried out according to determined theories and methods,which proved the scientificalness of theories and the feasibility of methods. China's wetlands are divided into three major areas,61 natural areas,150 natural zones,and a brief analysis of the characteristics of each district.Using RS,which greatly improved the efficiency and objectivity,the wetland in China provides a macro program and reference for future study.2. Based on the design principles of index system of wetland regionalization,and combined impact factor of wetland,indexs system includes four elements of nature,climate-topography,hydrology,vegetation-soil,micro-topography,micro-climate.principal component analysis and expert analysis are used to extract components.3. The methods combining geographical correlation analysis and spatial overlay analysis are used in wetland regionalization.spatial overlay analysis is processed by GIS,zoning maps of every element are folded,so the results of wetland regionalization are achieved after adjusting.
