Recently, artificially constructed metamaterials have become of considerable interest, because these materials can exhibit electromagnetic characteristics unlike those of any conventional materials.This paper introduced negative refractive index's production principle as well as its unique nature, and design one kind of periodic structure, Analysis of periodic structure parameters on the impact of negative refractive index material properties are given a change in the law by changingredients the wire width, wire position, SRR dimensions.Refractive index of the minimum absolute values get larger with wire widened, and negative refractive index of the operating frequency range larger; minimum absolute value of the refractive index get smaller with wire offset, to achieve negative refraction frequency range first bigger then smaller; SRR ring size increases to the minimum absolute value of the refractive index of the overall larger, the frequency range to achieve a negative refractive index, first larger then smaller.
