Because of the inhomogeneously broadened effects, spatiotemporal dynamics of the inhomogeneously broadened lasers are different from the homogeneously broadened ones. The researches mainly about the spatiotemporal dynamics of inhomogeneously broadened lasers systems have been done in this dissertation.The spatiotemporal dynamics of homogeneous broadened laser systems considering the transverse effects have been completely analyzed and researched, and laser patterns have been got theoretically and experimentally. This is the basis of our study. First, the model of the spatiotemporal dynamics of the inhomogeneously broadened laser and its transverse instability are studied in this dissertation. Secondly, as we known now, the numerical simulation of spatiotemporal pattern is done for the first time, and the spatial patterns have been controlled into stable ones of different shapes by using the weak spatial perturbations.The effects of each parameter are also discussed.In addition, considering the transverse movements of atoms, we set up another model of the spatiotemporal dynamics of inhomogeneously broadened lasers in this dissertation.
