As GIS applying fields extending,the research and practice of GIS application model is becoming a focus in GIS's studying an applying. In our country air defence's function is now transforming from only preventing air attacks'destory to guarding against both air attacks at wartime and disaster destructions at peacetime,which means Air-defence and Disaster-prevention Integration(also named Two Defence Integration). The transformation adds complexity of using GIS techonlogy to resolve fields'questions greatly. At present,the research on GIS application model is insufficient, also research and practice in the field of Two Defence Integration drop behind other application fields. So The article intends to concentrate on the study about theories and methods of GIS application model, and it's research and practice in Two Defence Integration field.The article firstly introduces the features of Two Defence Integration field and actualities of the research on GIS application model, then analysizes the actualities of GIS application model in Two Defence Integration field and problems which need to be settled,later deeply discusses GIS application model from two aspects—theory and method,after that the article studys about the GIS application models architecture building of Two Defence Integration field and the framework designing,programme practicing of Two Defnence Integration Decision Support System which is based on the GIS application model combined with the field problems closely.The article lays a strong emphasis on the study of building and realization of four typical GIS application models in Two Defence Integration field, the four typical models includs Air Information Alarm Model,Siren Site Selection Model,Toxic Gas Diffusion Model and Flood Submergence Model. Whereafter the article commits itself to building and verifying the typical GIS application models in prototype Two Defence Integration Decision Support System.Finally the article gives a brief summarize of its primary works, points out some disadvantages,makes some further prospects.The article gets some new viewpoints about GIS application model,and executes some innovations in dealing with Two Defence Iintegration field problems by building GIS application models.So what the article had done not only provides some useful theoretical and methodological references,but also possesses importmant utility values for promoting theresearch and practice of GIS application model in Two Defence Integration field.
