Study On Systematics Of Polygonaceae In Jiangxi Province

The present thesis is to report the results of works on both herbarium and field observations,analysis of morphology,comparative anatomy and numerieal taxonomy of Polygonaceae from Jiangxi,and attempts to evaluate the significance of the above features in taxonomy.The results are as follows:1.10 genera,59 species and 9 varieties(include 2 new species,1 new variety and 6 new records) of Polygonaceae were recognized in Jiangxi Province;systematic key to the genera and species had been made,and morphological description, illustration,localitie,habitats and useful values of some special species were given in brief.2.The leaves lower epidermal micro-morphology and adjunct of 41 species and 7 varieties of Trib.Polygoneae were observed under light microscope.The results indicated that the characters of leave lower epidermis of Trib.Polygoneae possessed diversity and had an important value in the study on phylogeny of the genus and sections,identification and sibship of species.3.On the basis of the 71 morphological and 8 micro-morphological characteristics,55 taxa of Trib.Polygoneae were studied using the numerieal taxonomy.The results revealed that the foundation of genus Polygonum L.and genus Chylocaly Hassk et Miq.should be supported and to establish a new section of Persicaria Sect.Palmatum B.Li were proposed.4.The leaves comparative anatomy of 7 species in Rumex L.was studied.The results were as follows:(1)The character of lower epidermis cell,the specialization and arrangement of diachyma,the shape and the number of vascular bundle of midrib etc.distinctly had differences between all species,and could be used to distinguish each other;(2)Rumex acetosella L.obviously differented from others in the morphological characters.5.12 taxa of Trib.Rumicaea were studied using the numerieal taxonomy.The results showed correspondence to traditional classification and revealed that further research should be to do about the taxonomy grade of Rumex acetosella L. 6.On the basis of above results and other current advancement of systematic classification of family Polygonaceae,the taxonomy system of Polygonaceae in Jiangxi province were adjusted as follows:1 Trib.Coccolobeae Damm.1 Genus Homalocladium L.H.Bailey2 Trib.Polygoneae Damm.2 Genus Polygonum L.3 Genus Chylocaly Hassk et Miq.4 Genus Persicaria Mill.4-1 Sect.Palmatum(Dunn)B.Li4-2 Sect.Bistorta(Adans.)D.Don4-3 Sect.Echinocaulon Meisn.4-4 Sect.Cephalophilon Meisn.4-5 Sect.Peisicaria L.5 Genus Fallopia Adans.6 Genus Reynoutria Houtt.7 Genus Fagopyrum Mill.8 Genus Antenoron Rafin.3 Trib.Rumicaea Damm.9 Genus Rumex L.10 Genus Rheum L.
