Construction And Development Of The Disciplines "Philosophy Of Science And Technology" In China, 1987-2008

Philosophy of Science and Technology is one of the emerging new disciplines in China since 80's of the 20th century. Its predecessor is Natural Dialectics Disciplines with great impact on Chinese political and academic aspects. The development from Dialectics of Nature to the Philosophy of Science and Technology was not only resulted from the self-development of academic disciplines and academic normative, but also because of the inherent requirement of contacting and exchanging among international academic world. After 20 years' development, the disciplines of Philosophy of Science and Technology has taken shape, and got fruitful achievements. However, the traditional research method of Dialectics of Nature like "big pockets" and heated debate on subjects' attributes and disciplines position Philosophy of Science and Technology produced profound impact on the important theoretical issues of Philosophy of Science and Technology, such as research contents and research methods.These differences and arguments seriously influenced the aim of pursuing unified disciplines standardization of the Philosophy of Science and Technology. This paper discussed the inevitability of disciplines changed from 'Dialectics of Nature' to 'Philosophy of Science and Technology', and the achievements of Science and Technology Disciplines of Philosophy, especially the aspects of concern and research. The results showed that disciplines of Philosophy of Science and Technology have many internal differences. As far as some of the basic issues of the subject were concerned, academic community has achieved a certain degree of consensus. Finally, some opinions and views about these problems in the unified process of discipline have been proposed.
