A Review Of Issues On Dialects Of Nature In Its Development Course

The research area of dialects of nature spread from the Engels's classical work Dialects of Nature. It has followed long course in its development process for nearly 100 years. Dialects of nature have gone through its prosperity and stagnation with the Chinese revolutionary movement and the construction of socialism. However, there are still many arguments existing in the academic position (including the name), disciplinary paradigm, research objects and research contents as well as development trends, which directly affects the survival and development of the dialects of nature (or Philosophy of Science and Technology).Based on the prerequisite of understanding the Marx and Engel's dialects of nature and its development in China, this paper aims to study the historical divergences and disputes in the dialects of nature from following aspects:the relationship between dialects of nature and Marxist philosophy, independence and nature of the disciplinary, characteristics of discipline groups, arguments on appellation, research content and tendency. This paper also believe that socialist construction and the promotion of technology as well as the political ideology weakening of dialects of nature not only results its social marginalization and the emergence of utilitarianism, but also make the disunity academic paradigm and community become the central cause of the divergences and disputes. Furthermore, we also discussed the various impacts of the divergences and disputes, and provide some proposals on solving the disagreements and promoting the science development.
