Preliminary Research On Littoral Karst Of Eastern Bay Of Liaodong Peninsula

The eastern part of Liaodong Peninsula is Yellow Sea which coast is primarily bedrock,and has several large or small bays.These bays construct the bay primarily.On the coast,of these bays sinian system,cambrian,series and Ordovician system's limestone,dolomite and so on soluble crags class widespread distribute.These soluble crag class perhaps appear the surface,and perhaps bury deeply underground.The littoral karst landform which formed differ in thousands of ways under the long time karst process and the tectonism,has been characteristic which is in sole possession in the North.I have chosen three typical structural bays:Chang Jiangao bay,Dayao bay, Dalian bay which are takesn us to study the Binhai karst landform the object of study.We summarize basic shape characteristic,the growth characteristic of the local littoral karst landform through three bay area's position,the tectonic movement,the geological foundation,the climate,the hydrology and the landform characteristic's research.The littoral karst landform's formation mechanism is special because of the special geographical position In the littoral area carbonate rock,mixture corrosion speed of the carbonate rocks in the intermediate belt is bigger than the homogeneous rock corrosion speed in the pure fresh water or the pure sea water. Therefore mixture corrosion function is most intense in the transisent zone between the boundary of the fiesh water area and the boundary of the salty water area,and the karst also most grows.The sea water dynamic action is similarly noticeable,it forms to the Binhai karst landform is abrading the function which once again,the corrosion and anew transforms.The modem karst formation started in the old Tertiary Period,and matured in the Quatemary Period.The new movement and the modem climate promoted ancient karst further to grow forming the modern littoral karst.The new tectonic movement characteristic had decided gradualness and the succession of the littoral karst growth.The tectonic stableness formed multistage levels,which had reflected the influence which the tectonic stableness exered to the littoral karst growth.Tectonic movement intermittent lifting raised the topography,increasing the outside power,leading to the Wave and the tide abrasion and the corrosion to become the local main strength to make the appearance camp.The formation mechanism of littoral karst is special,and has also similarly formed the complex shape and the unique shape characteristic.The red karst crust of weathering of littoral karst surface is also a key character of the littoral karst.It has the important meaning to the littoral karst research.
